Five Free, Grace-Filled Messages from the Branson Women of Grace Conference

Been looking for encouraging, grace-filled teaching? You’ve found it and it’s free!

In today’s blog post I will share a link with you to the five teachings my friends and I did from the Branson Women of Grace Conference but first I have two other goals I want to accomplish in this post.

1.) I want to share with you why I believe it’s so critically important that you listen to pure grace teaching/read pure grace books and how you can know the difference including a personal testimony of something awesome that recently happened to me as a result of continually hearing the good news!

2.) I want to share with a you a lesson I learned about something I feel I stated incorrectly in my own message.

So why is it important that you fill yourself up with grace-filled teaching that points you to Jesus and what He has done for you through His finished work as opposed to law-based teaching that points you to self and what you must do for God or even mixed teaching (grace and law) that sometimes points you to Jesus and at other times points you to self?

I have some simple answers for you:

  • Grace-based teaching produces heart transformation (real change); whereas, law-based teaching produces behavior modification (not real change).
  • Grace-based teaching produces peace in your heart; whereas, law-based teaching produces anxiety in your heart.
  • Grace-based teaching exalts Jesus; whereas, law-based teaching exalts self.
  • Grace-based teaching produces humility; whereas, law-based teaching produces pride.
  • Grace-based teaching gets down to the root of the problem and gives you real answers by pointing you straight to Jesus and focuses on what you’re believing about God, yourself and your identity in Him; whereas, law-based teaching leaves you frustrated and confused, running around in circles trying to get it all right in your own strength.

Here’s a personal testimony of something wonderful that happened to me several weeks ago and I know it’s a direct result of me listening to the pure, unadulterated gospel of grace (the good news) on a continual basis!

Praise Report! A few weeks ago it crossed my mind, “Why am I going around saying all the time that I have low blood sugar?” (which caused me to have to eat really often).

As a result of all the good news teaching I’m hearing I decided to change my mind (repent) about what I was believing and I talked to the Father about my blood sugar. I finally decided to receive the healing that Jesus had already provided for me 2000 years ago!

I can now go long periods of time without eating (if needed) and I don’t feel bad. I’m not purposely trying to skip meals or starve myself because I have never felt like that was necessary to lose weight, but if I’m in a situation where I have to go longer than expected without food I do fine.

In addition, I’m just eating so much less food in general per day. Like 50% less food, but still totally satisfied! JESUS HEALS! All I had to do was stop believing the lie that I had been believing for so many years that I have low blood sugar problems.

All those years that I was believing this lie I would often say “If I don’t eat every couple of hours I get low blood sugar and feel terrible.” I kept confessing it over and over again (bad idea).

It actually got to the point where I developed a strong fear of getting episodes of low blood sugar because when it happened my breathing would become labored and I would feel anxious. Both of these are classic symptoms of low blood sugar. I’m not saying hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) is not real.

I’ve even had two different doctors over the years tell me that I have this problem and I took it on as part of my identity. But because of all the grace-filled teaching I listen to, the grace-filled books I read and the fact that I always read the Bible through the lens of grace, it hit me, “Why am I believing this lie?”

Oh, and just a side note, I KEEP LOSING WEIGHT and I’M NO LONGER CRAVING SUGAR! My blood sugar is level and my body will continue to come in line with the promises in God’s Word!

Thankfully, being overweight was not making me feel bad about myself because God had already taught me that The Scale Does Not Determine My Worth And Value years ago. If you would like encouragement in this area, click on the link above to watch my YouTube video on this. Even though I wasn’t feeling bad about my weight gain, I was believing a lie that was keeping me in bondage!

Again, I can’t stress enough how much I believe this is a direct result of listening to encouraging, grace-filled teaching that always points me to Jesus; therefore, I encourage you to listen to the five free messages I’m providing in this blog post. Take your time. Really take them in. Even listen more than once if you want to. Share them with others.

I listen to messages/podcasts a lot when I’m driving, getting ready for the day, cooking, doing my healthy food prep for the week, etc. I never make it a law. I just think, “OK, I’ve got this span of time where I will be doing a certain job or driving somewhere. Would I like to just enjoy quiet, listen to music, pray or listen to a teaching?”

And when I’m listening to the good news, I look as happy as that girl in the picture above!

Now I want to switch gears and cover my second goal for this blog post.

I want to make a correction to my message (that I’ll share with you below) as I believe I said something incorrectly in my teaching. It was a very quick statement and I still feel great about sharing the message with you, but wanted to make this correction as part of my blog post.

In my message when I was talking about my two-year health nightmare I said, “Now, did me living under stress open the door for the devil? Yes, maybe…”

I am not afraid to admit if I have said something wrong in a teaching. You do not even know how miraculous this is for me to say this. I was terrified of making a mistake while teaching before, but no more. I believe this is a result of what I have learned while hanging out with my Women of Grace friends. Freedom!!!!

I realize I don’t know it all and am growing in grace everyday! I love growing in grace. It’s my favorite thing to do.

Here’s what happened. I heard a teaching about a month ago by Pastor Jeremiah Johnson titled Healing in Communion that caused me to realize I need to change my wording in the future in regards to what I said. This is exactly why it’s so important for all of us to be hearing the pure, unadulterated gospel of grace instead of teaching full of mixture (law and grace mixed). It keeps us from presenting a mixed gospel to others.

In the future, when I talk about my two year health nightmare or anything like this I will not be indicating that we can open a door for the devil when we sin. The reason is, Jesus went to the cross and paid the price for ALL of our sin – past, present and future. (see Colossians 2:13-14 and Hebrews 10:11-12)

Us committing a sin does not give the devil authority to wreak havoc in our lives – cause us to be sick, etc. He has no authority over us. Jesus stripped him of his authority and gave us Believers a gift of righteousness. (see Colossians 2:15) We do not lose that when we sin because sinner is no longer our identity. Righteous in Christ is now our forever identity! (see 2 Corinthians 5:21)

But if I choose to believe that as a result of me sinning (living under stress instead of trusting in Jesus) means I’m guilty (which is a lie) and therefore, I have to pay a penalty (which is a lie), I have just thrown the door wide open to the devil to wreak havok in my life through my wrong believing (me believing his lies). You see, getting us to believe his lies is all he’s got. He has no real authority over us unless we give it to him by allowing him to deceive us.

And let me clarify something: All that I’ve said here doesn’t mean that there are not natural consequences for sin because there are but natural consequences are a totally different thing than punishment from God (Jesus took all the punishment for our sin).

Even if I live under stress and get sick from it due to experiencing the natural consequence of stress I can still choose, when that happens, to believe right by turning to Jesus, rejecting all guilt and condemnation, receiving the forgiveness that is already mine because of the blood Jesus shed for me, laying aside the weight of stress, beginning to trust Jesus again, remembering that I am a peaceful person in Him (that’s my true identity) and receiving healing for that sickness because of what Jesus did for me on the cross.

Do you see how it’s all about our believing? Right believing leads to right living and wrong believing leads to wrong living. (Thanks you Pastor Joseph Prince for teaching me this life transforming truth!)

If you want to reign in life and live in victory over sin, never forget your true identity is righteous in Christ. Keep believing this truth no matter how many times you fail and you will see the most magnificent transformation in your life that you have ever experienced!

I just believe you’re going to be greatly encouraged by these messages. Enjoy!
