“The Real You” series – Week 5: You Are Victorious!

2 Comments - Leave a comment

Did you know that as a Believer in Jesus, you are not “trying” to get the victory? You actually already have it. It’s yours because Jesus finished the work and stripped the devil of his authority over you!

Now you get to fight from a place of victory, not for the victory because the victory has already been won! Fighting from victory looks a whole lot different than fighting for victory!

Here are some comments from others about this video:

“Your message brought back the miracle that saved my new born grandsons life! I was crying because the drs said they had done all they could and my grandson would die! Well the Lord spoke to me and said, “speak Mark 11:23 & 4 over him.” As I was saying it I was crying, saying to the Lord, “I don’t have the faith to believe!” HE then spoke to me and said, “Connie it’s not your faith, but mine, do you believe I can help?” I said, “yes!” The crying stopped, and joy began to bubble up within me! By the time I looked up into the icu, my son was scrambling for the phone to talk with us on the other side of the glass! He said Mom, “Jesus just healed Nick,” they just handed him a paper with “all levels NORMAL.” It wasn’t me. I was a mess. It was my faith in HIS FAITH! Today my grandson turned 19, and is 6’7!” – Connie from Hendersonville, Tennessee

“God bless you. It’s encouraging here in Africa.” – Kiplan from Uganda, Africa

“This was so good! I was having a rough time and being reminded of these verses helped me in my time of need.” – Rainbow from Bakersfield, California

So good! Thank you Sandra! You are a wonderful communicator! I love your stories that illustrate the Truths of the New Covenant of Grace!  – Brenda from Ft. Worth, Texas

“It’s not about your faith, but Who your faith is in! Love that!” – Connie from Broken Arrow, Oklahoma

Here’s the foundational verse for this series:

2 Corinthians 5:17 (AMPC)

Therefore if any person is [ingrafted] in Christ (the Messiah) he is a new creation (a new creature altogether); the old [previous moral and spiritual condition] has passed away. Behold, the fresh and new has come!

Here’s a list of some of the Scriptures I used in the video below:

John 16:33 (TPT)

And everything I’ve taught you is so that the peace which is in Me will be in you and will give you great confidence as you rest in Me. For in this unbelieving world you will experience trouble and sorrows, but you must be courageous, for I have conquered the world!”

John 16:33 (AMPC)

I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace and confidence. In the world you have tribulation and trials and distress and frustration; but be of good cheer [take courage; be confident, certain, undaunted]! For I have overcome the world. [I have deprived it of power to harm you and have conquered it for you.]

Romans 8:31-39 (TPT)

The Triumph of God’s Love

31 So, what does all this mean? If God has determined to stand with us, tell me, who then could ever stand against us? 32 For God has proved his love by giving us His greatest treasure, the gift of His Son. And since God freely offered Him up as the sacrifice for us all, He certainly won’t withhold from us anything else He has to give.

33 Who then would dare to accuse those whom God has chosen in love to be his? God himself is the judge who has issued his final verdict over them—“Not guilty!”

34 Who then is left to condemn us? Certainly not Jesus, the Anointed One! For he gave His life for us, and even more than that, he has conquered death and is now risen, exalted, and enthroned by God at his right hand. So how could he possibly condemn us since he is continually praying for our triumph?

35 Who could ever separate us from the endless love of God’s Anointed One? Absolutely no one! For nothing in the universe has the power to diminish His love toward us. Troubles, pressures, and problems are unable to come between us and heaven’s love. What about persecutions, deprivations, dangers, and death threats? No, for they are all impotent to hinder omnipotent love, 36 even though it is written:

All day long we face death threats for your sake, God.
We are considered to be nothing more
    than sheep to be slaughtered!

37 Yet even in the midst of all these things, we triumph over them all, for God has made us to be more than conquerors, and His demonstrated love is our glorious victory over everything!

38 So now I live with the confidence that there is nothing in the universe with the power to separate us from God’s love. I’m convinced that his love will triumph over death, life’s troubles, fallen angels, or dark rulers in the heavens. There is nothing in our present or future circumstances that can weaken his love. 39 There is no power above us or beneath us—no power that could ever be found in the universe that can distance us from God’s passionate love, which is lavished upon us through our Lord Jesus, the Anointed One!

 Ephesians 6:10-18

Spiritual Warfare

10 Now my beloved ones, I have saved these most important truths for last: Be supernaturally infused with strength through your life-union with the Lord Jesus. Stand victorious with the force of his explosive power flowing in and through you.

11 Put on God’s complete set of armor provided for us, so that you will be protected as you fight against the evil strategies of the accuser! 12 Your hand-to-hand combat is not with human beings, but with the highest principalities and authorities operating in rebellion under the heavenly realms. For they are a powerful class of demon-gods and evil spirits that hold this dark world in bondage. 13 Because of this, you must wear all the armor that God provides so you’re protected as you confront the slanderer, for you are destined for all things and will rise victorious.(TPT)

14 Put on truth as a belt to strengthen you to stand in triumph. Put on holiness as the protective armor that covers your heart. 15 Stand on your feet alert, then you’ll always be ready to share the blessings of peace.

16 In every battle, take faith as your wrap-around shield, for it is able to extinguish the blazing arrows coming at you from the Evil One! 17–18 Embrace the power of salvation’s full deliverance, like a helmet to protect your thoughts from lies. And take the mighty razor-sharp Spirit-sword of the spoken Word of God.

Pray passionately in the Spirit, as you constantly intercede with every form of prayer at all times. Pray the blessings of God upon all his believers.

Colossians 2:15

[God] disarmed the principalities and powers that were ranged against us and made a bold display and public example of them, in triumphing over them in Him and in it [the cross].(AMPC)

I love your teaching in this lesson. A great reminder that Jesus knows God the father better than I do! All through the New Testament Jesus shares His faith and knowledge to teach me to trust God through Him. Just this morning, before listening to this segment, I read Mark 7:32-35. Jesus knew just what to do to heal the deaf man with the speech impediment. I may not have physical impediment in these areas but I often ‘hear’ and ‘speak’ misguided and incorrect things. I’m trusting Jesus to heal me. Your example of hearing a medical diagnosis and letting… Read more »
