“The Real You” series – Week 7: You Are Peaceful!

You may not feel like it, look like it or sound like it, but the truth about you is that you are a peaceful person…in Christ. Being someone who is filled with peace is part of your identity.

I know, I know, you’re thinking, “No way, Sandra. You don’t know me. I feel like I’m freaking out half the time while trying to survive life. I’m anxious, frustrated and filled with every kind of fear imaginable.”

Yes, I know that’s what you may be experiencing in the natural because we’ve all been there so many more times than we care to remember, but that’s not your reality in Christ!

Watch the video below to find out about “the real you” in the area of peacefulness!

Here are some comments from others about this video:

“So good – (so easy to forget who we are in Christ when we mess up and that is such a key to living in and from His grace). TKU for this reminder.” – Cally from Chattanooga, Tennessee

“Come on girl. Preach it!!” – Donna from Hinsdale, New Hampshire

“Freedom!!!” – Amy from Chelsea, Alabama

“Never separated from His peace.” – Brenda from Ft. Worth, Texas”

“Powerful” – Brenda from Pacific, Missouri

“I’m in my kitchen listening to this msg while peeling apples for a dessert for church tonight… I’m peaceful.” – Debbie from Leasburg, Missouri

Here’s the foundational verse for this series

Corinthians 5:17

Therefore if any person is [ingrafted] in Christ (the Messiah) he is a new creation (a new creature altogether); the old [previous moral and spiritual condition] has passed away. Behold, the fresh and new has come! (AMPC)

Here are some of the additional verses I used:

John 14:27

Peace I leave with you; My [own] peace I now give and bequeath to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. [Stop allowing yourselves to be agitated and disturbed; and do not permit yourselves to be fearful and intimidated and cowardly and unsettled.] (AMPC)

1 John 4:17

By living in God, love has been brought to its full expression in us so that we may fearlessly face the day of judgment, because all that Jesus now is, so are we in this world. (TPT)

Romans 5:1

Our New Life Our faith in Jesus transfers God’s righteousness to us and he now declares us flawless in his eyes. This means we can now enjoy true and lasting peace with God, all because of what our Lord Jesus, the Anointed One, has done for us. (TPT)

John 16:33

“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” (NIV)

Galatians 5:22-23

But the fruit produced by the Holy Spirit within you is divine love in all its varied expressions: joy that overflows, peace that subdues, patience that endures, kindness in action, a life full of virtue, faith that prevails, gentleness of heart, and strength of spirit. Never set the law above these qualities, for they are meant to be limitless. (TPT)

Here are some quotes by a couple of my friends that I used in this video:

“Jesus is our peace! He’s the Prince of peace! I believe if we are in Him, we are in Peace and therefore peaceful.” – Christy Rose

“As Jesus is so are we in this world! Love is our identity! Joy is our identity! Peace is our identity! The kingdom of God is within us! We have it already! When we embrace it we experience it! I’ve been teaching my children their whole life we are peaceful! Because Jesus lives is us! We are stressed out people! We are peaceful people! Because we are just like Jesus in the world.” – Connie Witter

“I mean we are not stressed out people. That’s not who we are, but we get stressed when we forget who we are.” – Connie Witter

“When we are not at peace, we are assuming we are going to have to handle whatever is in front of us by ourselves separately from God. So recognizing we can’t be divided from Christ means we can’t be divided from His all sufficiency and peace remains.” – Christy Rose

I hope you enjoy week 7 of this video series!

This is so reckonisable, I mean thank you for your open heartedness! Yes…in Jesus we are…Free

I loved your message and I think you are a technical genius for producing this series and sharing all the positive teachings on your website. My favorite line from this segment is “It’s not about me and it’s all about Jesus.” Taking myself out of the starring role allows me to feel peaceful because my peace is connected to feeling safe with the care and protection of Jesus. . I struggle with NOT feeling safe when coping with the unexpected or making mistakes or forgetting something important. Self blame can only steal peacefulness. Thank you for the reminder.
