I have good news

Jesus Is Alive!

I have more good news

For those who believe in Him

Jesus Is Alive In You!

Jesus is the perfect everything you will ever need living on the inside of you. I don’t know about you, but that just flat out makes me relax.

Need provision? Jesus is your supply.

Need wisdom? Jesus is your wisdom.

Need healing? Jesus is your health.

Need to be more patient? Jesus is perfectly patient.

What else do you need? You name it. Jesus is your answer!

Always remember that Jesus is not only alive, but Jesus is alive in you. As you can see, this Biblical truth has very practical benefits for your everyday life!

You will notice as you read these 2 sets of scriptures below that Jesus literally did it all. Christ in You is the hope of glory! (see Colossians 1:27)

Ephesians 2:4-10 (NASB)

4 But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, 5 even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), 6 and raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, 7 so that in the ages to come He might show the surpassing riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. 8 For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; 9 not as a result of works, so that no one may boast. 10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them.

and

2 Peter 1:2-3 (NLT)

2 May God give you more and more grace and peace as you grow in your knowledge of God and Jesus our Lord. 3 By His divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know Him, the One who called us to Himself by means of His marvelous glory and excellence.

Yes, the Bible does say for by grace you have been saved through faith so the gift Jesus offers is received by believing in the gift Giver, but let me tell you something wonderful, the same way you are saved…by faith…is the same way you live out your new creation life…by faith! By trusting in Jesus!

Let me ask you a question. Do you see anywhere in the scriptures I shared above that the responsibility is on us to produce good fruit? I don’t. Instead, I see things in Ephesians 2 like not of yourselves, gift of God, not as a result of our works, but that there will be good works coming right out of our relationship with Christ and in fact that these good works were prepared beforehand so that we would (not might, but would) walk in them. Do you see how, with this change in your belief system from, “this is all up to me” to “this has already been provided for me to walk in” makes all the difference in the world?

Then we see phrases in the next set of verses in 2 Peter like God has given us (already done) everything we need for living a godly life and we have received all of this by coming to know Him. Then in verse 2 – as you grow in your knowledge of God and Jesus our Lord He will give you more grace and more peace. WOW!

Where are the self-efforts in these scriptures? Where are the works? They are nowhere to be found except where they will always be found when we make our existence, not about our own self-efforts, but about having a growing, vibrant relationship with the person of Grace – JESUS. They will be a result of our grace-filled, Jesus-centered, Jesus-focused, Jesus-conscious lifestyle.

Our self-efforts (works) aren’t a root leading to Jesus and His grace. It’s the other way around. Jesus (the person of Grace) leads us to the fruit of good works. Believe me, they will come. They will flow right out of your relationship with Christ Who is in you and is the hope of glory. They will flow effortlessly from Christ to you and through you. So relax and enjoy Jesus! He’s everything you need!

Jesus Christ living in you is indeed the hope of glory!

Happy Easter to you and your family! Thank you for the reminder that Jesus will take care of producing good fruit and I do not have to “knock myself out” trying. Sometimes I get ahead of God’s plan for the day without stopping to ask which way I should be going. Have to laugh, I can picture Him shaking His head and thinking…”there she goes again,..” Very thankful for His Grace and patience are never ending. God’s many blessings to you and yours.
